The honest version

I almost wrote this the easy way: pull up the top resumes online, borrow the formula, assemble something similar. Then I remembered a promise I made to myself. […]

My Work Identity
Software engineer, machine learning engineer, full stack. Just titles. What I care about is staying curious and building things I am proud of. The longer answer.
My Career
Urumqi to San Diego. Computer science at SDSU, then seven years architecting AI powered platforms from concept to production.
Things I'm Doing
Core engineer at PEAR Health Labs, leading a small team on new AI work. Off the clock, writing neural nets in pure Python. No PyTorch, no shortcuts.
A Thing I Did
Led engineering at a San Diego research nonprofit as sole architect of the full stack: Python, Postgres, AWS, a browser extension, and self hosted storage for sensitive data.
My Motivation
Build things that are net positive for the world. Build something genuinely good and the financial value follows. It does not lead.
For Fun
Purple belt in Jiu Jitsu. We don't compete to win, we compete to become better versions of ourselves. Winning is the byproduct. I build the same way.
